What is in each day cell?
The Moon's phase sits beside the date. One short line marks each event: the Moon entering a new sign with its time, the Sun changing sign, a station or an eclipse. Retrogrades run as thin coloured rules across the days they cover. Most of every cell stays free: measured on the rendered pages, 78% to 80% of the average day cell is left blank for writing. Daylight saving changes are marked on the right day for your zone.
Sample pages
Real pages from the US Eastern edition, rendered from the delivered PDF. Every other edition has the same pages with its own dates and times.

Which edition do I need?
The one for the clock on your wall. Each edition downloads as its own zip, calculated for its own time zone.
| Edition | Clock in 2027 | Made for | Paper | Weeks start |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| US Eastern | EST, then EDT from March 14 to November 7 | New York, Atlanta, Miami | US Letter and A4 | Sunday |
| US Pacific | PST, then PDT from March 14 to November 7 | Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco | US Letter and A4 | Sunday |
| UK | GMT, then BST from March 28 to October 31 | London and the rest of the UK | US Letter and A4 | Monday |
| India (IST) | IST all year, no daylight saving | All of India | US Letter and A4 | Sunday |
| Sydney | AEDT, then AEST from April 4 to October 3 | Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra | US Letter and A4 | Monday |
Live in US Central or Mountain time? The Pacific edition carries your date on 48 of the 49 Moon phases of 2027, with clock times one or two hours earlier than yours.
The US editions add US federal holidays from the Office of Personnel Management 2027 schedule. The UK edition adds bank holidays for England and Wales from GOV.UK. The plain editions without holidays are in the same download.
Why does the time zone matter?
A Moon phase happens at one instant for the whole Earth, so the clock time and sometimes the date change with where you live. In 2027, 10 of the 13 New Moons fall on a different date in New York than in Sydney. A calendar printed in Universal Time puts 8 of the year's 49 Moon phases on the wrong day for New York and 14 for Los Angeles. That is why every edition is calculated for its own clock, with daylight saving applied on the right day.
| Edition | First New Moon of 2027 | Time |
|---|---|---|
| US Eastern | January 7 | 3:24 pm EST |
| US Pacific | January 7 | 12:24 pm PST |
| UK | January 7 | 20:24 GMT |
| India (IST) | January 8 | 1:54 am IST |
| Sydney | January 8 | 7:24 am AEDT |

Is Mercury retrograde in 2027?
Yes, three times: February 9 to March 3, June 10 to July 4 and October 7 to October 28 in US Eastern time. Each one starts in a water sign and backs into the air sign before it.
Is Venus retrograde in 2027?
No. Venus has no station at all in 2027. It turned direct on November 13, 2026 in US time and next turns retrograde in May 2028. The calendar marks every retrograde of 2027.
How does printing at home work?
- Print at 100% or "Actual size", never "Fit to page", so the margins and the writing space stay true.
- Print single-sided to hang it, or double-sided and bind it at the top.
- US Letter and A4 both print on any home printer, and the 14 mm margins clear the unprintable edge of most home printers.
- Matte paper of 120 to 170 gsm (32 lb bond to 65 lb cover) takes pen and pencil well.
How it was made
- Every date and time is computed by Natal Junction's own engine.
- Every Moon phase and eclipse is checked against NASA's published tables; sign changes and stations are checked against a second, independent calculation.
- Each edition is converted to its own clock, with daylight saving on the right day, then rounded to the minute.
- Moon discs show the exact shape only on the four phase days; the days between move in even steps.
- Planet photography: NASA.
Questions people ask
When is Mercury retrograde in 2027?
Three times. In US Eastern time: February 9 at 12:36 pm EST to March 3 at 7:32 am EST; June 10 at 2:15 pm EDT to July 4 at 3:39 pm EDT; October 7 at 10:37 am EDT to October 28 at 10:11 am EDT. The calendar marks each one, with its shadow dates on the cover.
When is Mars retrograde in 2027?
Mars turns retrograde on January 10 at 7:59 am EST at 10°26' Virgo and turns direct on April 1 at 10:08 am EDT at 20°56' Leo, in US Eastern time. Venus has no retrograde in 2027.
Which edition do I need?
The one for the clock on your wall. Each of the five editions downloads as its own zip: US Eastern (New York, Atlanta, Miami), US Pacific (Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco), UK, India and Sydney (with Melbourne and Canberra). Live in US Central or Mountain time? The Pacific edition carries your date on 48 of the 49 Moon phases of 2027, with clock times one or two hours earlier than yours. The US and UK editions also come with public holidays marked.
Are the holidays official?
Yes. US federal holidays come from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management 2027 schedule. UK bank holidays come from GOV.UK for England and Wales. The plain editions without holidays are included too.
How accurate is it?
Moon phases and eclipses are checked against NASA's published tables: every phase is within one minute and every eclipse within seconds. The retrograde stations were checked against a second independent calculation, and every date and degree agrees.
How do I print it?
Print at 100% or "Actual size", never "Fit to page", so the margins and the writing space stay true. Print single-sided to hang it, or double-sided and bind it at the top. The 14 mm margins clear the unprintable edge of most home printers, and matte paper of 120 to 170 gsm (32 lb bond to 65 lb cover) takes pen and pencil well.
Is it easy to read, and does it use much ink?
Dates are large and most of every day cell is left blank. The smallest type, 7 pt, is kept for the short event lines in each day cell so a busy day still fits. Every font is embedded, so text prints sharp. The pages are dark type on a light ivory ground, which keeps ink use low on a home printer.
Does it work in GoodNotes or on a tablet?
Yes, as a regular PDF. Import the US Letter or A4 file into GoodNotes, Notability or any PDF app and write on it with a stylus. It is designed for print, so it has no separate tablet layout or linked tabs. The 2027 Lunar Planner is the product with a hyperlinked tablet edition.
Does it predict what 2027 holds for me?
No. It is a dated record of the sky, not a prediction. It prints where the Sun, the Moon and the planets are and when they change, with short notes on what astrologers traditionally associate with each event and questions for your own reflection. Nothing in it says what will happen to you or when to act.
How is it different from a free Moon calendar?
Most free calendars print one clock, often Universal Time or US Eastern time. A calendar printed in Universal Time puts 8 of the 49 Moon phases of 2027 on the wrong day for New York and 14 for Los Angeles. Each edition here is calculated for its own clock with daylight saving on the right day, and every phase is checked against NASA's published table. It is a working calendar rather than zodiac art: large dates, one line per event and 78% to 80% of every day cell free for your own plans. If you only need the dates, our free full moon calendar 2027 and new moon calendar 2027 list them.
What does it cost, and can I get a refund?
$6.99 in US dollars. Launch price $6.99. The price rises as copies sell, step by step to $9.99. No refunds for a change of mind once a file is downloaded. If you get the wrong time zone edition, or a file will not open or print properly, reply to your receipt and we swap or fix it, with a full refund if we cannot. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Does it work in the Southern Hemisphere?
The Sydney edition prints every date and time in Sydney time, AEDT and then AEST from April 4 to October 3, 2027, with weeks starting on Monday. Melbourne and Canberra share Sydney's clock. Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and New Zealand run on other clocks, so a date near midnight can differ from theirs.
