- Thirteen cycles: each opens with a New Moon page that describes the sky that day, then the month grid, four or five week spreads and a Full Moon reflection page.
- 56 week spreads: the Moon's sign, the time it changes sign, the void-of-course window, sunrise and sunset and a retrograde banner on every day.
- A retrograde and eclipse chapter: every station of the year with its date, time and degree.
- The year in review: three trackers, a year review and a January 2028 preview.

Which edition do I need?
The one for the clock on your wall. Each edition downloads as its own zip, calculated for its own time zone.
| Edition | Clock in 2027 | Made for | Paper | Weeks start |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| US Eastern | EST, then EDT from March 14 to November 7 | New York, Atlanta, Miami | US Letter and A4 | Monday or Sunday |
| US Pacific | PST, then PDT from March 14 to November 7 | Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco | US Letter and A4 | Monday or Sunday |
| UK | GMT, then BST from March 28 to October 31 | London and the rest of the UK | A4 and US Letter | Monday or Sunday |
| India (IST) | IST all year, no daylight saving | All of India | A4 | Monday or Sunday |
| Sydney | AEDT, then AEST from April 4 to October 3 | Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra | A4 | Monday or Sunday |
Live in US Central or Mountain time? The Pacific edition carries your date on 48 of the 49 Moon phases of 2027, with clock times one or two hours earlier than yours.
The tablet edition starts weeks on Sunday in the US and India editions and on Monday in the UK and Sydney editions. The Sydney edition draws each Moon as it looks from the Southern Hemisphere and follows southern seasons.
Why does the time zone matter?
A Moon phase happens at one instant for the whole Earth, so the clock time and sometimes the date change with where you live. In 2027, 10 of the 13 New Moons fall on a different date in New York than in Sydney. A calendar printed in Universal Time puts 8 of the year's 49 Moon phases on the wrong day for New York and 14 for Los Angeles. That is why every edition is calculated for its own clock, with daylight saving applied on the right day.
| Edition | First New Moon of 2027 | Time |
|---|---|---|
| US Eastern | January 7 | 3:24 pm EST |
| US Pacific | January 7 | 12:24 pm PST |
| UK | January 7 | 20:24 GMT |
| India (IST) | January 8 | 1:54 am IST |
| Sydney | January 8 | 7:24 am AEDT |

Read across a row and the date often changes. Cycle 1 opens on January 7 in the Americas and the UK but on January 8 in India and Sydney. Cycle 10 opens on September 29 in North America and September 30 everywhere else.
What does a day look like?
Here are the sunrise and sunset times the US Eastern edition prints for New York on five dates. Each was checked against an independent calculation and agrees to within half a minute.
| Date | Sunrise and sunset, New York |
|---|---|
| January 15 | 7:18 am to 4:53 pm |
| March 20 | 7:00 am to 7:08 pm |
| June 21 | 5:25 am to 8:31 pm |
| September 23 | 6:44 am to 6:52 pm |
| December 21 | 7:16 am to 4:32 pm |
The planner prints 174 void-of-course windows from January 2027 to January 2028. Each one starts at the Moon's last major aspect to a planet and ends when it enters the next sign. Each start was recomputed with a second ephemeris and agrees to within 30 seconds.
How does printing at home work?
- Print at 100% or "Actual size", never "Fit to page", so the margins and the writing space stay true.
- Print double-sided and flip on the long edge. The month tabs then step down the outer edge of the book.
- Print one cycle at a time if you like. Each cycle runs 12 to 14 pages and the contents page lists them.
- Matte paper of 100 to 120 gsm (27 to 32 lb bond) takes pen and pencil well and stops ink showing through.
- Use the low-ink files on a home inkjet. A ring binder, disc binding or a two-hole punch all work.
- On a tablet, import the hyperlinked file as one document so every tab, date and contents line stays a working link.
How it was made
- Every date and time is computed by Natal Junction's own engine.
- Every Moon phase and eclipse is checked against NASA's published tables; sign changes and stations are checked against a second, independent calculation.
- Each edition is converted to its own clock, with daylight saving on the right day, then rounded to the minute.
- Moon discs show the exact shape only on the four phase days; the days between move in even steps.
- Moon photography: NASA.
Questions people ask
How many lunar cycles are there in 2027?
Thirteen New Moons start a cycle in 2027, on January 7, February 6, March 8, April 6, May 6, June 4, July 4, August 2, August 31, September 30, October 29, November 28 and December 27 (UTC dates). The planner gives each cycle its own chapter. The last one closes with the full Moon of January 12, 2028.
What is the void-of-course Moon?
It is the stretch from the Moon's last major aspect to a planet until it enters the next sign. Many astrologers read it as a pause between chapters. The planner prints the start and end of all 174 windows from January 2027 to January 2028 in your own time zone.
Which edition do I need?
The one for the clock on your wall. Each of the five editions downloads as its own zip: US Eastern (New York, Atlanta, Miami), US Pacific (Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco), UK, India and Sydney (with Melbourne and Canberra). Live in US Central or Mountain time? The Pacific edition carries your date on 48 of the 49 Moon phases of 2027, with clock times one or two hours earlier than yours.
Does the 2027 Lunar Planner work in GoodNotes?
Yes. Every zone includes a hyperlinked tablet PDF in a 3:4 portrait shape for GoodNotes, Notability and Noteshelf. Import it as one document so the month tabs, dates and contents links keep working.
How do I print it?
Print at 100% or "Actual size", never "Fit to page", so the margins and the writing space stay true. Print double-sided and flip on the long edge so the month tabs step down the outer edge, or print one cycle of 12 to 14 pages at a time. Matte paper of 100 to 120 gsm (27 to 32 lb bond) takes pen and pencil well.
Is it easy to read, and can I print it with less ink?
The smallest type in the planner is 8 pt at 100% print scale and every font is embedded, so the text prints sharp. On a tablet you can zoom in on any page. Every print file also comes as a low-ink edition on white paper, with colour kept to the tab edge.
Does it work in the Southern Hemisphere?
Yes. The Sydney edition draws each Moon as it looks from the south, its season notes follow southern seasons and its clock switches from AEDT to AEST on April 4 and back on October 3, 2027. Melbourne and Canberra share Sydney's clock. Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and New Zealand run on other clocks, so a date near midnight can differ from theirs.
Does it predict what 2027 holds for me?
No. It is a dated record of the sky, not a prediction. It prints where the Sun, the Moon and the planets are and when they change, with short notes on what astrologers traditionally associate with each event and questions for your own reflection. Nothing in it says what will happen to you or when to act.
How is it different from a free Moon calendar?
Most free calendars print one clock, often Universal Time or US Eastern time. A calendar printed in Universal Time puts 8 of the 49 Moon phases of 2027 on the wrong day for New York and 14 for Los Angeles. Each edition here is calculated for its own clock with daylight saving on the right day, and every phase is checked against NASA's published table. The planner adds the Moon's sign, the void-of-course windows, sunrise and sunset and room to plan every day. If you only need the dates, our free full moon calendar 2027 and new moon calendar 2027 list them.
What does it cost, and can I get a refund?
$9.99 in US dollars. Launch price $9.99. The price rises as copies sell, step by step to $14.99. No refunds for a change of mind once a file is downloaded. If you get the wrong time zone edition, or a file will not open or print properly, reply to your receipt and we swap or fix it, with a full refund if we cannot. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes. Choose the edition for the clock where the person lives, not where you live, then print it at home or at a print shop and give the printed pages. The hyperlinked tablet edition suits someone who plans in GoodNotes. The files are licensed for personal use, so please give a printed copy rather than sharing the files.
