Capricorn in January 2027
Your new year really begins on January 7, Capricorn. The New Moon lands in your own sign that day, the most personal fresh start of the season, so set the intention that shapes the next twelve months. Venus enters your 12th the same day and asks for quiet kindness to yourself. Mars turns retrograde in your 9th on January 10, so travel and study plans may need a second draft. Mercury moves into your 2nd house of income on January 13 and the Sun follows on January 20, turning focus to money. The Full Moon in Leo on January 22 lights your 8th, bringing a shared matter to a head. Decide, then commit.
Capricorn in January, week by week
Week of December 28, 2026 – January 3, 2027
Your year begins, Capricorn. Capricorn season and Mercury are both in your own sign, so the turn of the year is genuinely yours: this is the best week of the whole calendar for you to set a plan and mean it. Your ruler Saturn is direct in your 4th, so the foundations are moving again. Decide what you are building. Then start on day one.
Week of January 4 – 10, 2027
This is your fresh start, Capricorn. The New Moon lands in your own sign on January 7, the most personal reset of the season, so set the intention for the year and mean it. Venus enters your 12th the same day and asks for quiet. Mars turns retrograde in your 9th on January 10, so travel or study plans may need a second draft. Decide. Then start small.
Week of January 11 – 17, 2027
Count your worth, Capricorn. Mercury leaves your sign for your 2nd house of income on January 13 and meets Pluto there on January 15, so a frank money talk or a new pricing idea arrives. Venus trines your ruler Saturn in your 4th the same day, steadying home and family. Venus squares Mars on the 16th, so rest before you argue a point. Name the price. Then hold it.
Week of January 18 – 24, 2027
Shared things come to light, Capricorn. The Full Moon in Leo on January 22, the closest of 2027, lights your 8th house of intimacy and shared money, bringing a joint matter or a bond to its peak. The Sun leaves your sign for your 2nd house of income on January 20. Mercury sextiles your ruler Saturn on the 18th, steadying a family talk. Be honest about money.
Week of January 25 – 31, 2027
Money gets real, Capricorn. The Sun meets Pluto in your 2nd house of income on January 25, a powerful moment to change how you earn or what you charge. Mercury opposes Jupiter on the 27th across your 2nd and 8th, so a joint money talk can run large. The Sun sextiles your ruler Saturn on the 30th, steadying home. Set the price. Hold the line.
